Is a small, intimate all-inclusive resort on an aqua marine bay on a Caribbean island your idea of a romantic, relaxing vacation?  Then, I think you would love getting your relaxation and romance at all inclusive Hermitage Bay in Antigua!

Hermitage Bay

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting this resort last year on an epic trip around the island.  Hermitage Bay is a privately owned, all inclusive, 5-star boutique, luxury hotel on the west coast of Antigua with twenty five individual suites set in beautiful tropical gardens on the beach and hillside of a stunning natural bay.

View from a Hillside Pool Suite

The suites are all in small cottages and have uncluttered, open-floor layouts with daybeds on their decks.  Click here to get a tour of a Beachfront Cottage Suite.  Guests can enjoy non-motorized watersports, cooking classes, the fitness center, the Garden Spa, sailing and visits to historic Nelson’s Dockyard nearby.

Spa Color Treatments at the Garden Spa

The spa features color treatments to suit your mood.  Before your treatment begins, you’ll get a tea in the color you request. All the color treatments come with exfoliation, a massage and a moisturizing body wrap. Coordinating colored lights during the treatment help to balance your system. Choose red if you want a pick-me-up. Yellow is for relaxation and to remove excessive dry skin, because it contains salt. With the blue color only, you also get a warm compress and a refreshing facial.

If you’re comfortable driving on rough dirt roads, you might want to rent a 4WD for a day to explore the nearby area.

Candlelit Restaurant

There are two dining areas and they both look out over the water.  The main restaurant is candlelit at night.  Local ingredients are featured in Chef Dezi Banhan’s menu and he serves European, American and Caribbean dishes.  We enjoyed lunch here, which was artfully prepared and delicious!

Delicious Fish Dish

This resort is ideal for small wedding groups or couples renewing their vows with family and friends that want to combine all-inclusive convenience with five-star exclusivity and sophistication.  Hermitage Bay hosts only one wedding per week, so each wedding gets all of the staff’s attention.  The settings in the garden and on the beach epitomize romance.

Suites here start at $965 per couple, but the Beachfront Cottages (from $1,145) and Hillside Pool Suites ($1,225) are worth the upgrade.  The maximum size of a wedding here is 10. Ceremonies average $1,800.
